Latest Consumer Magazine ABCs (Jan - Jun 2011)— 22/08/11

As with the last ABCs, all sectors reported saw both period on period (POP) and year on year (YOY) declines.

The Music & Film sector was hit the hardest with double percentage declines both POP and YOY. This was accentuated by the fact that Future Publishing has chosen to switch both Classic Rock and Metal Hammer to an annual (rather than 6 monthly) audit, therefore they have not posted new ABC results in this wave.

The Women's Weeklies sector lost the greatest volume of sales, shedding over 675,000 copies since the same period last year.

Top performing sector POP was Youth Press which only dropped a minimal 0.9% since the last period. This was in part due to the new kid on the block 'Moshi Monsters Magazine' releasing its debut ABC and jumping straight in at the top of the pack.
