HOW WE MET

Heidi, the Founder of MEERKAT, loves unearthing new food and drink products. It was her penchant for sauces, particularly brown sauce, that led to her meeting Steve Curzon, the food marketing guru and chief marketeer for Gressingham Duck.

CAMPAIGN OBJECTIVES

To encourage more people to eat duck. In particular to inspire and educate food lovers to buy and prepare duck, and to cook it from scratch.

WHAT WE DID TOGETHER

MEERKAT created a partnership with Classic FM providing Gressingham Duck with access to the UK’s largest radio audience and the ability to finely tune national and regional activity.

The MEERKAT team produced impactful radio commercials using a well matched celebrity voiceover (Hugh Bonneville) and negotiated a deftly integrated campaign that ran across FM and DAB channels as well as ClassicFM.com.

As the relationship developed between Gressingham and Classic FM, we were able to secure content-driven sponsorship of Bill Turnbull’s weekend show, including ‘live’ recipe features and competitions to capture data.

HOW THE CONVERSATION CONTINUED

In just 3 months this Classic FM endorsed campaign reached over 7 million adults, with over 22 thousand competition entrants, demonstrating brand integration and real audience engagement.

The MEERKATs have very much enjoyed working with Gressingham Duck over the last 3 years and have built a successful ongoing partnership with Curzon Marketing.
