I’m Sam and I’m an Account Manager at MEERKATworks. My responsibilities lie in the planning and execution of campaigns across the agency portfolio. This includes working strategically with clients to ensure that their campaign specific goals meet their overall objectives and deliver on KPIs. Prior to joining MEERKAT, I worked in the education industry within campaign marketing and website development, and in professional recruitment. I have recently returned to studying and am currently working feverishly towards my CIM Diploma in Professional Marketing, due to be completed in 2018. Outside of work I enjoy dog spotting along Brighton Beach, gin tasting at Brighton’s best bars and watching horror films from behind a pillow.
Hi, I’m Janet, Director of Measurement at MEERKAT. With 17 years’ experience in media and marketing, my background is in digital, data and CRM with brands such as The Telegraph and Hastings Direct Insurance. My role at MEERKAT is to help customers unlock the power of their data, using this to plan more effective campaigns and providing valuable insights for their future marketing campaigns. I find it very rewarding helping our customers understand the true impact of their marketing. Outside work my passions are my beautiful dachshund Darcy, going for long walks in the country and finding the best restaurants in Brighton.
Hi, I'm Julieanne aka Jules the MEERKAT MD. My extensive management experience developing and leading award-winning commercial teams has helped establish a positive, creative environment where the talented MEERKAT team can thrive and deliver results. With 15 years’ experience at Director level in media across broadcast, press and digital, my ability to create successful strategic campaigns for clients has been further enhanced by recent studies for an MSc in Marketing. I particularly enjoy securing long standing client relationships and developing new marketing solutions. When I'm not out hunting for Art Deco, I enjoy running beside the sea on Hove lawns and spending time with my large family.
Hello, I’m Kate, the Digital Director at MEERKATworks. I specialise in helping brands harness the power of digital platforms to innovate and grow their business. My expertise draws on my passion for, and understanding of, digital technology with a commercially-focused outlook. I have 10 years’ experience that began with audio branding for retail, through to mobile apps when smartphones were in their infancy, and latterly in social media and email marketing. My track-record of success is built on a thorough understanding of a client’s needs and the ability to act as a trusted advisor as they navigate through the digital realm. Outside of work I play guitar in a band and can often be found at gigs or festivals. When the sun shines I go for long bike rides and enjoy outdoor swimming.
I’m Heidi and I was the first MEERKAT. Following a decade in media sales and new to Brighton, I launched MEERKATworks 12 years ago from my spare room. My original aims for the agency hold as true today as they did back then – to build a fun, fresh and alert team of MEERKATs working together to provide up-to-date market knowledge, with complete integrity and inspiring creativity.
My 22 years’ experience in media has honed my skills in the field of planning, negotiating and buying media campaigns across all channels, and set solid foundations for the growth and success of MEERKAT. Outside of the business, I thrive on adventure, enjoy spending time in the great outdoors (walking, camping and dancing) and I love to entertain and cook - roast chicken being my speciality.
I’m Akiko and I’m Financial Controller at MEERKAT. I previously I worked as an Assistant Manager at a language school and as a database programmer at an IT company in Japan. Since 2007 I have been working in Accounting in the Middle East and here in the UK. I have gained AAT and Sage Line 50 accounting qualifications in the UK, for those of you interested in the numerical side of things. Outside of work, I enjoy catching up on Japanese drama and news, which helps me feel closer to my own country as I’m exactly 5,976 miles from home. Like many Japanese people I’m sensitive about having my photograph taken, but if you are visiting our office, please say “Kon’nichiwa”.
I’m Alice, Head of Insight and in-house photographer. With a Business Studies degree and a PhD in Children’s Experience of Advertising, I’m the qualitative research and photographic expert in MEERKAT. Whilst working as a consumer insight specialist at an ad agency in Edinburgh, I reignited my interest in photography. A qualification in Digital Imaging was followed by five years’ working as a professional photographer in the whisky industry. Now I’m delighted to combine my love of teasing out consumer insights with photography for MEERKAT. Outside of the business, I enjoy walking and exploring the world with my camera, catching strange and unusual films through my BAFTA membership and searching the auctions for inspiring artworks.
I’m Sue, Office Administrator at MEERKATworks since 2009. I’m responsible for the smooth running of the business from filing to fridge monitoring, and generally ensuring that all media we have bought on behalf of our clients is in fact running correctly. I have worked in the catering, accountancy and advertising industries over the years which has given me a wealth of experience to draw on. Outside of work I enjoy the outdoors, cinema and ballet, and spending time with my precious grandson Jimi.
Hi, I'm Myrtle. I work for MEERKAT as their eyes and ears, and I love a bit of media mischief… My key responsibility is to check out what’s happening for my mob so I am often scuttling about meeting media owners and scanning the landscape for what's new and innovative in the world of media. Outside of work, and in truth in work too, I love to play, eat good food and travel to exciting places. I usually come out to play early in the morning but sometimes I enjoy late nights and scampering about in the moonlight. So check me out in the BLOG for alarm calls and midnight squeaks...
